Providing that there’s a decent base layer, a Christmas spent in Arinsal will be memorable for all of the right reasons. The snowfall at this time of year can at times be a tad inconsistent, however recent improvements in snow making and extensions to the ski area has helped insure against the possibility of a dry week. Those staying in self-catering apartments will have to be wary of shop closures (usually between the 23rd and 26th) though most of the bars and restaurants in resort are open throughout the festive season to cater to holiday makers- booking in advance is advisable though. With its less mainstream location, you’ll enjoy significantly smaller crowds throughout the Christmas period than in some of the larger European resorts. A spot of ‘mushing’ (dog sledding to you and I) will keep everyone feeling festive- especially when followed up by a mulled wine in one of the many bustling bars in Arinsal village. Make the most of your time in resort with a holiday package that includes flights and transfers, or spread the holiday over a few more days and take the scenic route through France to the Pyrenees with one of our self-drive holidays. Whatever you fancy, we’ll be able to find a holiday in Arinsal for you!
