Zermatt day and evening care plus snow ski schools and babysitting.
Zermatt offers a friendly space for children because of its car-free environment and the huge range of activities and eateries to entertain the younger ones, as well as snow sports. There are three children's kindergartens in Zermatt. Children's Paradise is open from 9am to 5pm and takes kids from 3 months old upwards. Seiler's Children-Paradise at the Hotel Nicoletta accepts children aged from 2 to 8 years from 9 am to 5pm (half-days possible), Monday to Friday, it is closed at weekends. The Murmeliclub at the Hotel La Ginabelle accepts children from two-and-a-half to age 12 years and they have a program for teenagers. Children from age 3-5 up are accepted in the Penguins ski kindergarten at the ski school which operates in the afternoon after lessons. Ski lessons available for kids ages 6-17, Freeski for teens from 11, can do half days or full days with lunch. Zermatt has one of the most generous free lift ticket schemes for children, with children skiing free until they are 9 years old. From age 9 to 15 they pay 50% of the adult ticket price. 16-19 year olds get 15% off.

KidActive isn’t just your bog-standard ski school – “KidActive is snow much more”
Yes, little ones need good tuition to build confidence and technique on the piste, but they also need more. KidActive provide professional ski tuition on top of a bucketload of other outdoor activities including skating, tobogganing, afternoon trips, games in the snow and a range of other activities for children aged 4 - 6.
With loads of variety, little ones will fall in love with the snow and have the time of their lives, while you can relax and make the most of the slopes and rest assured they’re having lots of fun!
Ski instruction with KidActive is in association with The Swiss Ski School and takes place in small groups to maximise learning potential.

They’ll teach children to enjoy the slopes safely, ensuring everyone gets the attention they need in group classes of up to 6. Thanks to Flaik GPS online tracking, you can even see where they’ve been skiing afterwards!

For the little ones aged 4-5 we recommend our exclusive Snowli Kids Village at Riffelberg. The area covers about 3,500 m2 and has fairy-tale figures, magic carpets, a merry-go-round and children's lifts. Under the expert's watchful eye, the children will take their first steps in the snow and learn how to ski. Soon the little ones will be making their first descent and on Friday they'll participate in their first race! Don't forget that you are skiing in the high mountains where thick clothing, mittens, goggles, sunscreen and lip protection are essential. Formerly Snow & Alpine Center, now pick meets at Tourism Office but may change so contact directly to ask.
