Valmorel is especially highly regarded for families. Daycare is available for children aged 3 years and older at Les Piou Piou where staff are able to speak English and German as well as French of course. Children aged three and over can sign up for ski kindergarten and from aged six to twelve in children' ski school. There is even a special fun park and training area for children called Malatray at the cable car summit in the Pierrafort area. The three hectare park is especially designed for children aged six to 12 as well as beginners and with safety in mind. It incorporates a new drag lift and two slopes. There is also a sledging area at the centre of the resort. The pedestrianised centre with reasonably priced, family friendly restaurants are also major assets for the family, There is a toboggan/tubing run, open to all, on the Cheval Blanc piste. You can also try mountain karting , Airboarding, Yoonering and build your own igloo.

Piou-Piou Club
Run by ESF, The Piou-Piou Club is a nursery for little ones aged 18 months to 3 years that provides daycare for your children during your ski holiday in Valmorel, so you can enjoy the slopes while your children are well looked after.
The Piou-Piou Club has a Snow garden and play area for lots of snow fun in Valmorel. There are lots of fun activities and games on offer as well as a nap room so your children won’t be completely worn out when they’re back with you!
The club is open from 8:45am to 12:30pm and 1:45pm to 5:30pm.
