Mountain MASTERS

Established in 1988, Mountain Masters was started by a small group of 3 ski instructors and guides who had all worked for big, mass market ski schools and shared a dream to provide more focused, tailored instruction. The ski school has grown but the ethos stays the same – as well as being some of the best in winter sports (ex professionals, national examiners, demo-team members) the team are also excellent instructors who value things like psychology and tactics just as much as they value technique. Adult group and private lessons are available in skiing or snowboarding. You will find Mountain Masters at Killy Sport by the Tourist Office.

New Generation Ski & Snowboard School

New Generation is a British-run ski & snowboard school with an international team. The school has been operating in Alpine resorts since 1998, and here in Val d'Isere since 2004. All their instructors are fully qualified and highly experienced, with a real passion for what they do. And they have a large off-hill support team to ensure they offer the highest level of customer service. They offer a wide range of lessons from group lessons for adults and children, to tailored private lessons and off piste adventures. All in English. All with big grins.

We are a small, close-knit team of some of Val d’Isere’s most experienced and dedicated mountain guides and instructors, and our speciality is off-piste skiing. We offer morning groups of off-piste skiing (max 6 per group) for all levels, from the powder novice looking to leave his first tracks right up to the most experienced powder warrior looking for the next challenge.

We can also cater for private guiding and/or tuition from the complete beginner to expert level and offer a full range of disciplines from alpine skiing to telemark to snowboard and ski-touring. Progression Ski & Snowboard School

The leading British ski schools in Val d'Isere and Tignes, Progression offers a full range of lessons for beginners, experts and beyond. ICE - Performance Courses

Transform the way you ski with the help of pro coaches at the top of their game. When they’re not running performance courses, they’re training and assessing ski instructors for BASI. All have represented team GB in the BASI demo team and travelled the globe demonstrating and delivering workshops. Coaching is available for five full or half days, followed by a video debrief and analysis. ICE also run BASI level 1 & 2, 3 and 4 preparation courses and race training. SAF Hélicoptères

Dropping off skiers (Switzerland and Italy): In about ten minutes SAF helicopters will drop you off at the Swiss or the Italian border. From there, you will be taken on by a local helicopter which will take you to the most breath-taking summits of the area Picking up skiers (France): In France, we offer to pick you up. Our helicopters will drop you off in the morning in the heart of your favourite snowfield where your guide will take you to pristine terrains. Our helicopters will pick you up in the valley at the end of the day and take you back to your point of origin. For your ultimate comfort, our agents and pilots are at your disposal; they will help you organise this exhilarating day and liaise with the guide company of your choice.

Ecole du Ski Français

Val d’Isère is internationally famous for its unbelievable off-piste backcountry. The ESF offers you a wide choice of solutions to have blast, in winter powder or spring snow, discovering new horizons and getting away from it all for a half day, a full day or several days, with certified instructors and high mountain guides. To be booked on site, the day before. ARB (Avalanche Rescue Beacon) mandatory, supplied by the ESF. Wearing an ARB (Avalanche Rescue Beacon) is mandatory for all off-piste excursions.

Tele Tracks

Tele Tracks are a British Telemark ski school who do all sorts of telemark skiing lessons, with all lessons tailored to your needs and ability. Private sessions help you accelerate fast – you can book a 1 on 1 lesson or get friends / family together to learn as a group. Group clinics have a max size of 6 – the ideal opportunity to meet other telemark skiers and explore the area together. Courses include Tele-Virgins for an intro to telemarking (you should be confident on blue and red runs), Tele-Development if you can already link basic turns, Tele All-Mountain if you’re ready to ski expert terrain, bumps and powder and Tele-Adventure if you’re an experienced telemark skier looking for an adventure in the Espace Killy.
