A good choice for families, especially those trying to budget for the vast cost of taking a ski vacation with travel, accommodation, lift tickets, rental, tuition and day care to consider. All are much cheaper than the norm in the Rockies and the Alps with day care for three to ten year olds provided free when both their parents book in to ski school for lessons. Slopeside day care and ski school for children is offered from the panoramic restaurants at Riba Escorada and l'Espiolet, unfortunately there's currently no facility for under threes. Children aged three to ten can join ski school which has friendly, multi-lingual teachers, specially trained to teach kids and with a good reputation for both professionalism and fun. Off the slopes the friendly family restaurants and the ice stadium and swimming pool complex at Canillo make this a good family choice.
