Skischool Sölden-Hochsölden was the first ski school in the area, and have been teaching on the slopes of Sölden since 1928. We are a member of ITS – Tyrolean Ski School Company and have 160 instructors in the winter season.
Adult alpine skiing and snowboarding lessons take place in groups of 4-10 participants. You’ll benefit from practical exercises and personalised advice - whether you’re on the piste for the first time, or heading off piste for expert level terrain. Our packages can include course and equipment hire.

Whether you want to learn, recap on the basics or improve, Schischule Ötztal can help. Schischule Ötztal have a super team of 60 trained instructors including experts in skiing, snowboarding, freeride, telemark and cross country. Have your own personal trainer if you book a private lesson – on a 1:1 basis or with friends and family. You can also book lessons in a group with other people of a similar ability.

Yellow Power’s motto is ‘We Live Skiing’ and it shows. They are flexible and only do groups of up to 8 to ensure they can give some great tips to smaller groups rather than just generic advice to larger classes. Schools are available in both Solden are Hochsolden too – so Yellow Power can teach you wherever you’re staying in Solden.
They provide their main courses in English and German but can provide lessons in up to 10 languages depending on your preference. Lessons for children and teenagers run from 10am-Midday and 1-3pm with ages determining what classes are like. Those aged below 9 mainly focus on skills and technique during their sessions – while older children are given a fun and challenge-filled course that often includes free-riding and snow parks.

With more flexibility to arrange lessons that suit you, tuition isn’t confined to the usual ski school hours and we can meet you from your accommodation.

For more than a decade, the Freeride Center have been providing amazing freeride, heliski and backcountry experiences in the Austrian Alps. This is one of the top freeride schools in the country as well as having some of the best mountain guides you’ll find. Group Freeride courses are available for all levels (from beginner to expert) if you want to conquer moguls, powder, carving and steeps. If you want to explore the Ötztal Alps with someone who knows the area inside out, you can book a private guide, go ski touring or heliskiing with Freeride Center. Their steep and deep days for experts take you to steep culoirs, long descents, untouched powder and glacier areas like Rettenbach and Pitztal.
