From age three up there are six ski kindergartens to choose from, four run by the Sölden Ski School either by the village, up at Hochsölden, at the Giggijoch restaurant or on the Tiefenbach glacier. The Yellow Power Team has its own school. The Kinderschule Total Vacanzia is the sixth choice, and the Ski School in Vent takes children from age 5. Most ski kindergartens run from 10am to 4pm from Sunday to Friday although the Kinderskischule Total Vacanzia opens at 9am. Children in ski school normally have two hours of lessons morning and afternoon with lunch cover and meal available on request at a small additional cost. Given the resort's numerous off-slope facilities likely to attract children - toboggan run, ice skating, aquapark Freizeit Arena, thermal pools and the rest, Sölden is a good choice for families - perhaps especially those with older children who will benefit most from the cool image that abounds . There are five three or four star hotels in Sölden, Hochsölden and Vent which are especially 'family friendly' (details from the tourist office). A great restaurant option for families is Uncle Tom's which has good selection of child friendly food.

Kinderskischule Vacancia Tirol
Besides learning to ski or snowboard we want your kids to have fun and enjoy our SNOW CIRCUS. The weekly programme is individually designed by our well trained ski & snowboard instructors based on the skills and age of the children. In small groups (up to 8 kids at the most) they are working on their technique and learning about safety on the slopes. Every Thursday morning we organize a kid’s ski race followed by the presentation ceremony in the afternoon. Upon request we do offer full day supervision including a meal during the lunch break.
For the very beginners we do have our “KINDERLAND” which is located right beside the Giggijoch restaurant. It is a separate area equipped with special facilities like a conveyor belt to carry up the kids. Together with our friendly and patient instructors they will learn how to ski step by step. To avoid discouragement there is also some playing and dancing included.
NEW – For our advanced kids and teens until 16 years we do offer the “PERFEKT FRIDAY” which includes individual ski- or snowboard training (freestyle basics, funpark, race training) in very small groups up to 3 kids at the most.

Yellow Power
Yellow Power are regarded as one of the best Solden Ski schools and this applies to the young ones too. They can provide an all-day lesson if you want the kids to be occupied and to learn all day. The Yellow Power kindergarden at the bottom of the Giggijochbahn lift is a fantastic place to learn (with facilities including a modern conveyor belt to carry children up the hill) and the children will love Yellow Power’s friendly mascot Fiddl, a charming, likable mouse.
They also provide courses for older children and with classes possible in Hochsolden too they offer lots of flexibility to suit your stay in Solden.

Our aim is to make your children passionate skiers and snowboarders – we have a varied programme that’s packed with fun, where your children will learn the proper techniques. Courses are available for Skiing Bambini aged 3-6, and can be flexible (e.g. morning skiing, afternoon childcare).
BOBO Kids Club is open for 6 – 12 year olds, with BOBO the penguin helping to show your children the fun of skiing. Snowboarding lessons are available for 8 year olds and above.
We look after infants from 6 months to 3 years in our Kindergarten – with games, nap time and expert care.

Schischule Ötztal
The trained instructors at Schischule Ötztal will make sure your children are happy and confident on the snow during your holiday. Lessons take place in the lovely Fairy Meadow which is equipped with child-friendly lifts and at the end of the week, there’s a fun race and award ceremony. Full day supervision is available with lunch included or you can book morning / afternoon sessions and ski with your little ones for the rest of the day. The ski school has a convenient meeting point in the centre of the resort. For children’s group lessons, the group size go up to 7 and you can also book a private instructor for your child / children / the whole family if you want the tuition to be more flexible and focussed.
