Saas-Fee's car free status make it an excellent choice for families and there are plenty of things for the kids to do too, including their own pool in the leisure centre and a playpark. Marmot feeding is possible if you visit towards the end of the season when resort level snow is melting even at Saas -Fee's high altitude. The underground mountain railway and ice pavilion above are also unique and popular with kids. There is a resort kindergarten for children and a number of the hotels offer day-care in their own play rooms for children aged two and a half and up. On the Kindreland slopes, the Swiss Ski and Snowboard school have special classes for children aged 3-4 beginners, for 1h30, which can combined with lunch and afternoon care. Similarly 4 years old can do a 3 hours lessons, with lunch and day care. Snowboarding courses are available for children from age 8. The school's weekly entertainments programme includes tests and races. The toursim office have a list of babysitters that an can help with looking after children.
