Obergurgl is generally a quieter resort with gentle slopes , making perfect for families. There is a 'Beginners area' in the resort that is an ideal space for young skiers to take their first turns on the snow. Children up to 8 years old can ski free of charge with their parents on the wide slopes. The children's area is located slightly away from the crowds so the children can have fun and learn to ski. The Family Park in Obergurgl and the Funslope are very popular with families.

BOBO ski club & Kindergarten
Little ones can learn in a fun and very safe environment in Obergurgl Ski School’s BOBO ski areas. They’ll learn all the essentials and build confidence on the slopes in the hands of experienced instructors, with the help of BOBO the friendly penguin. The BOBO ski club is open to children from 3 and teaches in small groups of 3-5 so every child gets quality instruction. You can book your child’s 2 hour daily lesson either in the morning or afternoon. The Kindergarten offers full time supervision for little ones aged 3 and up, where they can learn to ski, play in the snow or play and do activities inside.
