L'Ours Blanc Restaurant
One of the best and most friendly restaurants in Les Carroz. Serving Savoyarde specialities plus excellent steaks and a wide variety of other dishes. Vegetarians catered for, and children very welcome.

La Spatule
From its corner on the main square, La Spatule has been serving up the best crepes in town for years. Once called the “Bretonne Crêperie”, crêpes or “galettes” are the specialties at this intimate and well-priced family-run restaurant, which is often filled to the brim with family groups.

Aux Petits Oignons
On the Chemin du Club just outside the main square is Aux Petits Oignons and when its doors are opened the seats are quickly filled. Here you’ll find French Classics done right- think perfectly cooked steak tartare and foie gras with onion, plus a range of fruity house cocktails. Owners Muriel and Sylvain pour their heart into the restaurant and can often be found chatting with customers till close.

La Croix de Savoie
15 minutes south of the main square, the family-run La Croix de Savoie may involve a detour if you’re staying on another side of the resort but it’s unlikely to be a detour you'll regret taking. Voted Les Carroz’s “best restaurant” 3 years in a row and given a spot among the star-studded pages of the Michelin guide, the culinary awards lavished on this restaurant-come-hotel speak for themselves. This isn’t a spot to miss if you’re a devotee of fine wine and sophisticated foods. With great children’s options (a rarity in a gourmet restaurant) and the more expensive taster menu for the gourmands among us, La Croix de Savoie caters for all.
Cooking classes and wine tasting evenings with resident chef, Edwidge Tiret also make for luxurious gifts.

Bistro Grill du Gron
From the Route des Moulins just off the main square, the petite little Grill du Gron has quite the fan-base. Visitors return year after year for the steaks perfectly cooked before their eyes- in the fireplace. A little different to other chalet restaurants, it’s more like owners Philippe and Beatrice have invited you into their living room here. Vegetarians may not feel quite so at home, though veggie options are on the menu, but meat lovers will enjoy the huge cote de boeuf and steaks done right. Dress in layers, the open fire will cook you too if you’re in full gear!

Il Piccolo
A welcoming Italian couple runs this intimate pizzeria just off the main square. It’s a firm favourite with locals, turning out fresh pizzas of generous sizes for reasonable prices, pasta dishes and some local classics.
Les Servages D’Armelle
On first glance, Les Servages D’Armelle at the foot of the Timalets run is heartily traditional/the epitome of Savoyard tradition. All wood beam and slate-roofed, the restaurant is housed in one of Les Carroz’s beautiful restored farmhouses. But at the table here, you’ll be delighted by a quirky mix of old and new and some of the finest gourmet fare for miles. The restaurant’s resident chef, Pascal Flécheau, delights in giving a modern twist to local dishes and works his culinary magic on the produce of the region. Take the Fera, a small fish from Geneva’s Lake Leman, which is served finely sliced and home smoked. Try the Terrine de Beaufort, a cheese cooked with egg and cream, melted over ham and baked till golden. For dessert, choose from an array of delicacies prepared by the owner, Armelle, herself, among which the soufflé glacé has been known to “move crowds”.
