Our school in La Clusaz is a human sized structure where you’ll comfortably learn piste and off-piste techniques. From complete beginner to advanced skier, from children to elders, private or group lessons are available, but either way, you will have an individual contact with your instructor. Yvan Dorier was formerly a member of the French Ski teams and was a professional ski tour racer in the US during 1981 & 1982. A fully qualified ski instructor and ski coach who is also fully qualified as a lifestyle coach, Yvan offers ski lessons in French and English that combine emotional and technical advice to suit personality and stamina, where you can develop your sporting skills as well as your sense of being to improve every day! Yvan works flexibly to suit your meeting time, place and resort.

Hire a guide with Mountain Guide Adventure and experience the incredible powder during your stay in La Clusaz. Guides have the highest level of competence with the UIAGM Mountain Guide certificate (International Mountain Guide Associaltions Union), meaning you have the highest quality supervision with your safety first at all times. Take off on 1 or 5 day courses in a group of 4-6 where you will develop your technique, learn risk assessment and how to use the safety equipment and enjoy some awesome off piste. Ski tours include the Chamonix-Zermatt Haute Route and the Queyras. You can also opt for a tailor made program.

Have an off-piste lesson or ski tour with Yvan Dorier. Yvan is an ex-member of the French Ski teams has also been a pro’ tour racer in the USA. He now works as a ski instructor, ski coach and lifestyle coach and is fully qualified in all three fields. With his experience in all three areas, Yvan works to share the joys and challenges of skiing and off piste, introducing you to the mountains he knows so well and taking a specialised approach to help you improve your ski style as well as lifestyle. Yvan speaks both English and French and can work flexibly to arrange a meeting time, place and destination that suits you and help you discover and develop at your own pace. Safety equipment is provided and your performance can be videoed to show your progress.

Experience the Aravis range like never before: wither you are alone or in a group (max. 6 pax), our team of certified High Mountain Guides will help you discover the variety of terrains within Les Aravis, from the easily accessed off-pistes to the steepest couloirs. Choose from 3h, 4h or full day guiding and learn how to read the terrain, the snow conditions, how to use the basic safety equipment, and enjoy your ride! If you want to go higher, the Vallée-Blanche is right in our backyard.
There is always a first time so do not hesitate to take the 1st step. Prices range from 150€ to 390€. Itineraries are defined jointly with your guide based on your comfort level.

Book an ice climbing or ice fall climbing course with the experts at Mountain Guide Adventure. Incredible ice climbing sites include Aiguille de Talefre and Pinochio gully and if you book an ice fall course, you can explore natural phenomena like the Dame du Lac and Val de Cogne.
