Fernie Chinese Indian and Asian food

Yamagoya

The people have spoken and for many, the consensus is that the food, service, atmosphere and value for money in this downtown sushi restaurant is excellent. Yamagoya’s menu of fresh fish, top-notch teriyaki and tempura, vegetarian options and gluten free goodies come in good portion sizes, so it’s well worth a visit. They don’t take reservations though, so it’s worth getting there early to avoid disappointment, especially during the weekend when the locals head there in their droves. The famous ‘Fernie Roll’ is recommended and if you get the chance, ask to be seated in one of the private tatami rooms if it’s a romantic setting you’re after.
