The perfect starting location for mountain walks both in summer and winter on the chase for beautiful Cervinian scenery.

This is a bit of a hidden gem that those who have been to will definitely visit again, especially those who like a good steak! A cosy little restaurant (best to book in advance to make sure you get a table), with friendly staff and a good selection of dishes from Valle d’Aosta including salami, cheeses, home made pasta and a smashing fillet steak. Ask about their wine tasting sessions if you fancy trying some of Italy’s finest.

La Grotta
Right by the slopes in the centre of the resort (on Via Bich), is one of our favourite places for pizza, La Grotta. They cook their pizzas the traditional way in a wood oven (and the list of pizza options seems to be endless!) and you can choose between sitting in the Italian sunshine with a glass of vino on their lovely big terrace or grabbing a table inside for tasty food. Traditional Aosta Valley food is also available.

Châlet Etoile
After skilfully manoeuvring the tantalizing glacier of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, you’ll be swelling with pride as you strut your ski strapped stuff, cockerel chest puffed out. You’ll also be veeery hungry. Lucky for you, Châlet Etoile can conveniently be found at the bottom of the Matterhorn. So you just keep strutting your stuff all the way over to its inviting front door for warm your insides traditional fish and other Italiano dishes, all served by Châlet Etoile’s Frassy family.

Said to be the place to eat if you’re after some fine dining in Cervinia, with staff known for their warm welcome, cosy environment, fantastic wine list and even better food! You’ll find the restaurant a bit further away from the main hub but well worth visiting for Italian and Swiss mountain classics.
