Bled Castle Restaurant
Even better than seeing Bled Castle in the flesh is booking a meal here. Up on the cliffs above the lake and over a thousand years old, the castle is home to a brilliant restaurant where you can try modern twists on traditional Slovenian meals. Tables need to be booked in advance at least a day before you plan to dine, and booking usually includes free entrance to the castle.

Okarina's menu is a terrific mix of fresh, tasty international flavours, including awesome Indian and Italian cuisine. The restaurant is vegetarian and vegan friendly. Opening hours are 12-3pm and 6-11pm Monday to Friday, and 12pm to 12am on weekends.

Anyone with a sweet tooth must pay a visit to this charming pastry shop, whether you sample their pastries, cakes, ice cream or a bit of everything. For a taste of traditional Bled sweetness, try the cream slice which has been passed down the generations (the shop opened in 1880).
