The cabins are situated in different areas around Ylläsrinne. Depending on the cabin you're staying in, the walk to Hotel Ylläsrinne, where you'll have your half-board meals, can range from 150 to 1000 metres, which may take up to 20 minutes on foot.
The nearest supermarket is located in Ylläsjarvi, it is approx. a 40 minute walk (2.9km) walk from the hotel. The hotel has a small snack selection available in the bar area.
Ylläsrinne is connected to the Ylläsjarvi Ski Resort (around 3.5 kilometres) and Äkäslompolo (around 14 kilometres) by a local ski bus service, which you can pay for locally. Please ask your Destination Expert or hotel reception for the bus timetable; the bus runs throughout the day, however is not a regular service into Ylläsrinne. Taxis can be arranged for a local fee.

These cabins are full of charm and character, each of the cabins are indiviually owned and furnished in a cosy Finnish style. The traditional Finnish cabins are dotted around the wintery woodland of Ylläsrinne. You'll get to experience the remote winter wonderland of Lapland first hand, whilst being within walking distance of the Ylläsrinne Hotel, the meeting point for your excursions and safaris.
During your stay, you'll have half-board meals at the nearby Ylläsrinne Hotel. Depending on your cabin's location, the walk to the hotel can take up to twenty minutes through the snowy wooded areas and along the lit paths. The food at the hotel is typically served buffet style, so you can enjoy a tasty breakfast with a range of sweet and savoury options before heading out on an arctic adventure. When you return for dinner you can enjoy a starter buffet with a range of salads and soup, a choice of main - usually one vegetarian option and one meat or fish option, and a choice of dessert. You can cosy up in the lounge with a game of cards, or head up to the aurora room with a drink - keep an eye out for the magical northern lights, they may make an appearance during your stay!
Guests staying at the Ylläsrinne Cabins can enjoy a free guided walk through the enchanting snowy forests to a secret reindeer viewing spot. You have the opportunity to get up close and learn all about these amazing animals. There's a cosy café nearby where you can warm up with a hot drink and a freshly baked traditional munkki (a Finnish doughnut) in front of a roaring fire. If you're feeling adventurous, whizz down the specially built sledging hill or grill sausages in a traditional laavu (open fire).

Villa Lumi 1, 2, 3 & 4 sleep one to four people and are about 50m². These cabins have one small double bedroom in an alcove which is separated from the living room by a curtain, and a mezzanine with two single beds. Each cabin has one bathroom with a wet room style shower, WC and sauna. Cabin 3 is semi-detached and cabin 2 is adjacent, both are located about 600 metres from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Karpalo sleeps two to five people and is about 44m². This semi-detached cabin has one twin bedroom, plus one single and one double mattress bed on the mezzanine - accessible by a wooden ladder. There is one bathroom with a wet room style shower, WC and sauna. This cabin is around 500 metres to the Ylläsrinne Hotel.
Villa Ylläs A& B sleep two to six people and are around 55m². Villa Ylläs A has two twin bedrooms, Villa Ylläs B has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom and both cabins have two single beds in the mezzanine (suitable for children aged 8-14 years only). There is one bathroom WC with shower. These cabins are semi-detached and sit side by side, located about 500 metres from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.
Hotellintie 2B (Mökkelö) sleeps two to six people and is about 55m². This cabin has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom plus 2 single beds in the mezzanine (suitable for children aged 8-14 years only). There is one bathroom WC with a shower. This cabin is semi-detached and located about 300 metres from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.
Aukun Maja sleeps four to ten people and is 147m². This cabin has three double bedrooms, all with single bunk above and single sofa bed in the living room. There is a large living room on the ground floor with dining area. Upstairs there is another large dining area and kitchen, a separate WC and one bathroom WC with a shower and a drying closet. This cabin is detached and is about 1000 metres from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.
Palovartjian Maja sleeps three to seven people and is around 52m². The cabin has two bedrooms: one double bedroom and one bunk bed room with an additional single bed beside the bunks, plus a double bed on the mezzanine. There's a cosy open plan living space and one bathroom with a shower, WC and sauna. This is a semi-detached cabin, about a 100 metres from the Hotel Ylläsrinne.

Each morning you can fuel up for the day at the breakfast buffet with a range of sweet and savoury options, often including pastries, biscuits, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, bread, eggs, bacon or sausages.
For dinner you'll enjoy a three course evening meal, which may be served buffet style or have the main course served to your table. To start you can enjoy a warming bowl of soup or a salad bowl from the buffet, you'll then have a choice of main (one vegetarian option and one meat or fish option), and to end your meal a tasty dessert is available from the buffet.
