VIP Ski
VIP ski - as the name suggests - inject the finer things in life into their chalet holidays.
Many of these chalets were built and designed by the company themselves, and operating since 1989, they’re dab hands at putting together a superior level of ski holiday.
VIP Ski Holidays
The ethos behind this company is that ski holidays should be easy and seamless all-round. They take great effort to ensure guests are greeted by excellent service, stay in top-quality properties and enjoy excellent food and drink.
Accommodation mostly comes in the form of chalets and chalet apartments, with a few hotels thrown in for good measure. Flights from a selection of UK airports and transfers are usually included as part of the package, with travel typically being on Sundays. There’s usually the option of paying a little more for private transfers if you’d prefer, and do give us plenty of notice if you’ll be needing ski carriage on your flights so we can make sure there’s room. If you’d rather arrange your own travel, whether by land, rail or air, that’s no problem at all.
Extras such as ski lessons, mountain guides, equipment, lift passes and childcare can be pre-booked before your holiday to save hassle in resort.
VIP Ski Chalets
You’ll find around 60 dazzling VIP ski chalets up for grabs, across 10 or so resorts in France and Austria. Featuring traditional alpine huts, chic contemporary apartments and what feels like everything in between, they sleep from 4 to 20-something guests. These lodgings are designed and decorated with mountainside comfort in mind and come with all manner of fabulous features – starting with bathrobes, slippers and tantalising toiletries, moving onto log fires and hot tubs and building up to pools and private cinemas at the top end of the scale.
VIP Ski Food & Drink
If feasting is high on your ski holiday agenda, this foodie operator rarely disappoints. Catering usually includes a breakfast with fresh pastries and cooked options then afternoon tea with freshly made cakes and hot drinks. Evenings traditionally see a 3-course evening meal with a cheese board and coffee to follow. Red and white wines are usually served with your supper and on a couple of days there may even be canapés beforehand… On the hosts’ 1 day off, breakfast might be a little more ‘continental’ than cooked and when it comes to afternoon snacks and your evening meal, you'll have a chance to sample some of the restaurants in resort.
Chalets with a 5-star rating may offer a ‘platinum’ chef service, where you’ll be able to work with your chef to create a personalised 6-day menu plan and indulge in upgraded wines.
VIP Ski Hotels
This operator also offers a couple of luxurious ski hotels in Austrian resorts. If you prefer the feel of a larger property, these could be just the ticket, typically accommodating between 40 and 80 guests in twin and double rooms as well as interconnecting family suites. Most rooms will also feature a balcony and the hotels’ facilities may include a sauna or gym to give your muscles a rest / workout accordingly. With half-board catering, often including wine, most of your mealtimes are covered.
As with chalet packages, flights and transfers are included to make your trip as seamless as possible (unless you’d rather sort your own), and other bits and bobs can be pre-booked ahead of your arrival.
VIP Ski Family Ski Holidays
Last time we checked, families were warmly welcomed in all of these chalets on an exclusive use basis (i.e. if you book out the whole property). For certain properties and on certain weeks, you can book rooms in shared chalets too.
In shared chalets, under 12’s are usually served an early supper before the adults dine. If your clan’s filling the whole chalet, you can choose to stick with that or request everyone dines together - whichever suits you.
Equipment (sterilisers, stairgates and such) can be provided to make your packing easier - do let us know in advance so we can make sure it’s ready and waiting when you arrive.
With almost everything taken care of, these trips can be a real treat for every member of the family. Most details, like lift passes, equipment, childcare and ski lessons can be sorted out before your holiday, so you don’t need to spend time making decisions when you arrive. Sprogs should feel just as pampered as you do, enjoying fun features like cinema rooms and games rooms. The resorts are fit to bursting with activities that kids will love (think tobogganing, ice-skating, husky-sledging…) so you’ve oodles of opportunity to spend time together in and out of your accommodation.
VIP Ski Deals
You might find prices lowered for last-minute packages to fill empty rooms. In recent years, special offers have included child discounts and deals on childcare, equipment and lift passes.

VIP Brand & History
Founded by Andy Sturt and operating from Putney in London (like us!) the VIP Ski story goes back more than 30 years. Around a decade into their operation, the company moved into building and designing dozens of their own chalets which have been reaping rave reviews every season since.
