Ullrhaus mixes classic alpine design with Scandi Chic. The timber cladding and wide balconies give it the look of a traditional chalet-style hotel, but inside the minimalist décor and earthy colour scheme adds a contemporary twist. This modern theme continues upstairs in the bedrooms, which are simply furnished, using plenty of textured fabric and natural wood. The rooms have large French windows that let in plenty of light, and as an added bonus you’ll get your own private balcony too.
When it comes to location, it doesn’t get much better than this. The hotel is just a couple of minutes’ walk from either the Galzigbahn or Rendlbahn gondolas. In the morning, grab your gear from the ski room, and you’ll be swooshing down the slopes of the massive Arlberg ski area in no time.
After a day on the mountain, the Ullr Lounge and Bar is a welcoming place to unwind with a drink – find a cosy spot next to the open fire or enjoy the snowy views from an armchair by the panoramic windows. Want to soothe your ski legs? Head to the spa and take a dip in the pool, warm up in the sauna or treat yourself to a massage.
You’ll be staying bed & breakfast, so you can fuel up for the day from the hot and cold breakfast buffet, then have the freedom to explore the nearby restaurants in the evening. However, if you fancy staying in for dinner, Ullr House has got it covered with its laidback á la carte restaurant. Here the food is the star of the show, and the emphasis is on simple dishes, prepared with the best local ingredients – think meaty stews, fresh fish and sweet treats like strudels and crepes.
