The hotel is located in Davos, close to the Davos Dorf train station and the Davoser Lake. The tourist centre of Davos is around 2 km away. The Kirchner Museum, ice hockey stadium and Molkerei Davos (dairy) are all around 2 km from the hotel. The hotel was built in 2000 and offers a total of 81 rooms consisting of 65 double and 10 single rooms, as well as 6 suites. There are 5 rooms for disabled guests. Although the hotel is located on a main street it offers a quiet garden. Other facilities at this family-friendly ski hotel include a lobby, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom and lift access to the upper floors. The hotel includes a newspaper stand, café, bar, pub and restaurant. Conference facilities are also available. Wireless and wired Internet access is available (for a fee), and room service and a laundry service are offered (fees apply to both). Guests may also make use of the car park, garage and bicycle hire service (charges apply to all). All rooms at the hotel are en suite and equipped with a shower, bath and hairdryer, satellite/cable TV and a radio, a direct dial telephone, hifi, Internet access, a minibar and a safe (charges may apply). At 1560m, Davos is one of the oldest and highest towns in the Alps. In fact, the first T-bar in Europe opened here in 1934. With its eminent reputation and fantastic skiing, it’s hardly surprising that it’s one of 12 classic resorts recently named “Best of the Alps”. Since 2003, the resort has been linked with Klosters; the Rega ski pass now covers 6 areas, giving skiers access to over 300km of groomed piste. The Pischa, Madrisa and Rinerhorn areas are smaller and thus quieter and all offer children’s ski schools. Unlike some smaller resorts, this is a real town with excellent amenities. Be sure to stop by Weber café, where you can gorge on exquisite cakes and handmade Swiss chocolate.
