There’s no missing this distinctive hotel in the heart of the Aosta Valley. The TH Courmayeur mixes modern materials with wood and stone, its white walls and multi-levelled roofs complementing the rugged landscape around it.

The hotel is in a quiet spot on the edge of town and it’s just five minutes’ walk to the Val Veny cable car, so getting on the slopes is a breeze. If you want to explore the centre of Courmayeur then the hotel runs a regular shuttle service.

Inside the hotel, the décor is refined and contemporary, with granite floors, leather furniture and feature walls of timber and rough-hewn stone. The high-quality finish continues in the spacious bedrooms, where the hardwood floors and white walls are brightened by splashes of colour – and as an added bonus many of the rooms have balconies too.

The Hotel has excellent facilities making it a great pick for both couples and families. There’s a kids’ play area with hotel run childcare as well as a games room for the older ones. And while the little ones are having fun, you can head to the large spa to relax in the panoramic pool, unwind in the sauna or treat yourself to a massage.

In the restaurant, it’s all about fresh local produce. Start by browsing the buffet, which is filled with Italian and international favourites, then take your pick from a choice of dishes on the main menu – and of course there’s a great selection of regional wine to go with everything. Afterwards, grab a nightcap from the bar and enjoy the regular live music.

Courmayeur has two main areas: the Chécrouit-Val Veny is by far the biggest, serviced by a cable car from Plan Chérouit, a gondola in Dolonne and a cable car in Entrèves for those staying out of town.
