Location: where is Summit View, Garda Suite

A completely unique position overlooking the pistes, ski lifts and nursery slopes with lift access down to the shops, bars and restaurants. Ski hire is provided by Oxygene Ski which is in the same building as the chalets.

Overview: chalet description: Summit View, Garda Suite description

Summit View offers a killer combination of stylish comfort and cutting edge decor at a dizzying 2000m altitude and in an unbeatable on-piste location. This La Plagne suite with three bedrooms is entirely independent with its own living and dining areas and dedicated chalet host.

The decor is tastefully sophisticated, with a boutique-hotel vibe thanks to the luxurious soft furnishings, original works of art, solid oak floors, recessed flat screens and BOSE audio systems.

A balcony overlooks the spectacular Grand Rochette mountain and the Front de Neige slopes. An internal lift just outside the apartment's front door takes you down to the piste level, ski school and equipment hire.

Similar to the Como suite, Garda is the perfect chalet for families or groups wishing to share bedrooms. There are three rooms, one of which has additonal bunk beds charged at half the adult price. All rooms have a balcony and en suite bath, hand basin and WC.

All our catered ski holidays include;

  • Continental breakfast with a cooked option on 6 mornings
  • Afternoon tea will be left in the chalet for you to help yourself to freshly made cake or biscuits, bread & jams, selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate
  • Canapés on the first and last evening
  • 3 course evening meal (6 nights) followed by cheese board and coffee
  • A choice of red and white wine is served throughout dinner
We update Summit View, Garda Suite's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

In the French Alps' Savoie region, La Plagne was established in the early sixties and now consists of 11 villages: 7 purpose built villages and 4 traditional villages. The aptly named Plagne Centre at the heart of the resort is the main hub of shops, restaurants and après ski. Just underneath lies Plagne 1800, a cluster of chalets spread across a steep hillside. Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a l...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts and a wide choice of different ski schools for those new to skiing. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners. The blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin provides a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate skiers, La Plagne is paradise. 77% of the runs are graded either blue or red. Particular favourites are the run from La Grand Roch...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. Try snowmobiling at night, ice climbing in Champagny, husky sledding, paragliding, extreme tobogganing and more! One experience not to be missed is the bobsleigh track, used for Olympic training. There are various ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr up to a lightening 120...

"Benefits & Concerns"

Benefits: Host cooked well, host was polite and friendly, manager addressed noise concerns quickly after concern was raised, chalet as expected, addition of ipad and balcony chairs good. Concerns: Had to constantly chase pre-arranged requests – daily fire and newspaper (important to guests and so simple to achieve), pillows one size - no thinner pillow option, room for improvement on hosts awareness and proactiveness towards guest's needs.

We had a fantastic week in La Plagne. It was our first time to this resort and we would definitely return. It was an ideal resort for the family due to the location of the accommodation as well as access to plenty of gentle, wide slopes for the children. There was still plenty more challenging skiing for other members of our group and the option to ski over to les Arcs. The Garda Suite was great - spacious for the six of us, tastefully decorated and to top it off it was in a prime location. We could see the children at ski school from our living room & balcony! As always the food and wine was of a very high standard. We had a superb nanny for the week, our children had the most wonderful time and are already asking when we can go back!
