Overview: hotel description: Sporthotel St Anton description

If you want to be in the heart of the action, it’d be hard to find a better location than this. Step outside and you’re right in the middle of St Anton’s main street, with its shops, bars and restaurants. And when it’s time to head up the mountain, you’re just a few minutes’ walk from the Galzigbahn gondola.

The hotel itself has a traditional feel – picture panelled oak walls, chandeliers and richly patterned rugs. Soak up the stylish atmosphere with a cocktail in the bar, to the soundtrack of live piano music. And if you need some pampering after a day on the piste, head to the spa to unwind in the sauna or splash out on a massage.

Another highlight here is the mealtimes. The hotel has a reputation for serving up some of the best food in the resort, and rightly so. Kick things off with a varied buffet breakfast, then in the evenings sit down to savour some fine-dining – from local specialities to indulgent dishes like crayfish, oysters and caviar. And to sample the best steaks around, don’t miss popping into the hotel’s own steakhouse.

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. There's a nurs...
The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh). While it's reputation is lively (and the resort lives up to it) there are lots of options if you prefer a more so...

The hotel was great! The rooms were pretty good and there was a lovely spa there too. The staff were lovely and all really friendly. We’d definitely give it a 5/5, we had a great time and would go back. The food was really good! We had some amazing meals. The hotel probably couldn’t have had a much better location! It was super easy to get to the ski slopes, it was probably up there with the top 3x hotels in terms of location.
