It's easy to see why so many people go back to Sport Hotel Barisetti year after year. The staff are incredibly welcoming and you’re instantly made to feel at home. The location’s fantastic with some of the best mountain views in town. The main shopping street of Cortina is 600 metres away and the Tofana cable car is just 50 metres from the hotel's door.
Start your day by heading up the Tofana cable car, which is just 50 metres from the hotel's door, and take on the slopes where the Ski World Cup and the 2021 World Ski Championships usually takes place. The lower ski area in Tofana is great for warming up, and for those just starting out while the higher slope including the Forcella Rossa are perfect for the more advanced. From this area you can also head over towards the 5 Torri - a must do for any guests staying in the Dolomites. If you want to explore the picturesque Faloria-Cristallo ski area, there is a handy shuttle bus that'll take you there. The Faloria-Cristallo area is famous for hosting the giant slalom during Cortina’s 1956 Winter Olympics, however there are some lovely red and black runs for the less adventurous.
There’s plenty going on in the evenings in Cortina if you fancy venturing out, its about a five minutes walk to the centre whereyou can find a range of high-end boutiques, cosy cafes and bars. We love spending time in the hotel’s own bar though, chatting about our day with the friendly staff with an Aperol in hand. And If you have time, the hotel has a small wellness area with a sauna and Turkish bath.
