La Rosiere Ski Weekends
Being one of the quieter ski areas means your precious few days in La Rosiere shouldn’t be filled with too much queuing or traffic. The snow record is usually excellent, and with a mix of pistes above and below the treeline you can pick your routes to suit the weather. Just because it’s a short break doesn’t mean you can’t fully explore, with links to the Italian resort of La Thuile giving lots of variety when it comes to pistes AND pizzas…
If you’re travelling by air, La Ros is 2 hours’ drive from Chambery Airport (CHF), 2.5 hours from Lyon (LYS) and Grenoble (GNB) and about 2 hours 40 minutes from Geneva International (GVA). Make things easy once you reach resort by sorting out your lift pass, equipment hire, lessons and guiding before you arrive.
There are some gorgeous chalets in La Rosiere, and a number of them can be booked for 4-5 night breaks. Classic chalet catering works wonders for short breaks, by providing main meals and wine to save you having to sort food out elsewhere. Look out for chalets with ski-out locations to make getting around a breeze, as well as facilities like swimming pools and saunas for the ultimate welcome home at the end of a ski day.
