The modern, well-furnished RukaTonttu Apartments offer an excellent standard of accommodation in Ruka. They overlook the lake and are close to the Talvijarvi slopes, which link you to the main ski area.

The Hotel & Restaurant RukaTonttu is a few minutes' walk away and has an à la carte restaurant and bar. If you want to head in to Ruka Village, it's a 15-minute uphill walk or a short bus ride.

Nestled in the Finnish hills on the borders of Lapland, just south of the Arctic Circle, a visit here is a once-in-a-lifetime experience (and many return again and again).
