Overview: hotel description: Hotel Montane description

The Hotel Montane really knows how to make you feel at home and welcome. Little touches like being handed a complimentary hot wine each evening for après-ski just makes you feel like your in a 5 star hotel rather than a really excellent 3 star.

It's incredibly convenient too as you're just opposite the main gondola station, so there's no reason to be late for first lifts. Unless you're fuelling up on the gorgeous (and pretty extensive) continental breakfast that is.

The owners are very proud of their restaurant, and rightly so as chef Reyna has an impeccable reputation for the quality and variety of his food. The daily menu is delicious and just what you need after a day on the slopes, but you must try the à la carte menu at least once throughout your stay. They also offer a pretty impressive wine list to accompany the gorgeous food.

Facilities: Hotel Montane features

Room Types: Hotel Montane bedrooms

The 27 rooms at the Montane are comfortable and nicely furnished with lots of lovely hardwood finishes and clean, open spaces. Each room comes with satellite TV, internet connection and an en-suite bathroom with hairdryer, bath or shower. Happily, all of the rooms have mountain views.

The rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities, so you don't have to leave to get your jolt of java or your morning brew.

Meals: Hotel Montane food & drink

Half-board meals are the order of the day at Hotel Montane. A continental breakfast is included but a cooked breakfast is available for an extra local charge. The evening meal comes with a choice of three delicious courses to fill you up after a busy day on the slopes.

The hotel also offers a packed lunch service every day to make it easier for you to stay out on the slopes for longer. Christmas is a full-on feast with a five-course traditional Christmas dinner. See the New Year in with a five-course dinner. Both festive meals are included in the price of your holiday.

We update Hotel Montane's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Arinsal may remain one of Europe’s most underrated ski destinations, but year on year it closes the gap on the larger resorts. Shedding its reputation as the cheap and cheerful ski option, Arinsal (and the entire Vallord ski area) is now ready to play with the big boys. Whilst it may not be able to compete like for like with the French Alps in terms of vertical, there’s ample terrain for a week’s trip now the ski area has been increased by the lift link to Pal and the inclusion of the nearby Ordino-Arcalis on the same pass. And as with any trip to tax friendly Andorra you’ll end up more than impressed with the amount you’ll save thr...
There’s a great variety of terrain throughout Vallnord, and skiers of all abilities and disciplines are well catered for. The area at the top of the La Massana gondola in Pal is the perfect place for beginners to start getting to grips with the snow. The three short drag lifts service gentle green runs which are left unmolested by more experienced skiers. There is also a ‘snow garden’ which will keep youngsters entertained, whilst the many slope side restaurants allow for a well-earned break- the tapas at t...
Arinsal comes alive in the evenings, and with the regions strong Basque influences the locals certainly know how to party- duty free prices mean you won’t be breaking the bank either. There is a wide selection of bars also serving good food if you enjoy settling in for the evening. Ciscos’ restaurant serves tex mex style dishes- their Cajun mango chicken is delicious- and the downstairs bar is popular with English tourists and the ex-pat community. Quo Vadis is a more informal affair- a lively après ski bar...

We had an awesome week. It’s a very good hotel and we were really impressed from the second we got there: we arrived late at 10pm and they kept the restaurant open for us and served us a three course meal, which made us feel pretty special! The food throughout the week was really good, my girlfriend’s a vegetarian and the message hadn’t been passed onto the hotel, but this wasn’t a problem. The food was always warm and the cleaners obviously did a good job because everything was very clean. The Montane is so close to the gondola, which is literally across the road, and the restaurants, bars etc. are just a stone’s throw away – the whole resort is quite compact.
