Miilu Resort is a new high-quality accommodation in Ylläs. The modern Miilu Northern Lights Cabins are situated on the shoreline of the Ylläsjärvi lake - the stunning remote location makes it the perfect place to seek out the Northern Lights. These brand new, modern cabins have a sleek Finnish style with large windows overlooking the frozen landscape, cosy lounge areas with a log burning stove, comfortable sleeping areas and a well equipped kitchenette. Breakfast is included for the duration of your stay, plus there's the option to upgrade to half-board dinners - seasonal ingredients are used to create tasty evening meals in the Miilu Bar & Grill. A shuttle service is included for all guests, linking the Miilu resort to the Yllas Ski Resort and starting point for any optional excursions you wish to take.

Surrounded by the snowy forests, the Miilu Northern Lights Cabins are located on the shoreline of Lake Ylläsjärvi. Enjoy the peaceful Lappish landscape and admire the scenery from the comfort of your cabin, with large windows overlooking the lake and surrounding wooded area. Staying at this remote retreat you'll be in prime position to spot the Northern Lights. Lapland is one of the best places in the world to witness the Auroa Borealis and wintertime stays in these cabins provide the greatest opportunity to witness this natural phenomenon.

Snow and sauna

Wake up to the snowy scenery surrounding your cabin and enjoy the beautiful views from the comfort of your cabin. These brand-new semi-detached cabins are furnished in a modern Finnish style with wood panelling and large windows overlooking the lake. Their quiet, secluded location makes for an excellent choice for your next arctic adventure. Each cabin has everything you need for a stay in Finnish Lapland, including a fully equipped kitchenette and dining area, a lounge with a television, and comfortable sleeping areas. And, after a day of activities in the great outdoors, warm up in your own private sauna.

Exploring Ylläs and beyond

During your stay you'll have the option to add on activities like downhill skiing at the nearby Ylläsjärvi Ski Resort. Try out exciting excursions such as, snowmobiling through the arctic tundra, husky sledding, a reindeer safari or a visit to the Snow Village to see the beautiful sculptures carved from ice and snow. Or, just simply enjoy the tranquil silence and nature surrounding the Miilu Resort.

Cabins A & B are around 62m² and sleeps up to six people. Downstairs there is one bedroom with a double bed (160cm) and a separate sleeping alcove with a large single (120cm) bed. Up on the mezzanine level there are three single beds. The apartment has a well-equipped kitchen, lounge area and one bathroom with WC.

One linen set with towels is included per person, per week. End of stay cleaning is included.

These cabins are not recommended for those with reduced mobility due to the uneven ground, and mezzanine levels only being accessible by a steep staircase.


Meals: Miilu Northern Lights food & drink

During your stay at Miilu Northern Lights Cabins, you'll have breakfast included. Each morning you can enjoy a varied breakfast buffet taken at the Miilu Bar & Grill, which is around a 100-metre walk from the cabins.

Upgrade to half-board to include dinner in the Miilu Bar & Grill Restaurant each evening - three-course meals made with seasonal ingredients. The restaurant has lovely views of the frozen lake, so you can admire the Lappish landscape while dining.

A Festive Feast is included for all guests arriving before Christmas, for a Christmas celebration meal with games and music. Please note that the Festive Feast replaces the last dinner included in the half-board option.
