Completed in 2013, Chalet Makini is a stunning ski-in/ski-out alpine home. This property sits majestically on the banks of a shimmering pond in the highly exclusive Hameau development. Relax on the sun-drenched terrace and watch the rare black swan gliding through the water among paddling ducks. You will be impressed from the moment you step into Chalet Makini by the attention to detail of the interior. Contemporary furniture and art, glittering chandeliers, and sumptuous fabrics have been combined with delightful traditional features such as old wood beams, polished oak flooring, natural stones, antique pieces, and luxurious furs to create a sophisticated and enchanting home with a distinctive Swiss twist.
The property boasts a number of spectacular living spaces, perfect for the sophisticated skier. Your eye will be drawn to the cascading glass petals of the magnificent chandelier suspended from the double height ceiling of the dining room. Twelve guests can be comfortably seated around the baronial table set beside the flickering flames of the grand stone fireplace. This is the perfect setting in which to enjoy a fine dining experience created by your private chef. Chalet Makini has an extensive and impressive wine list both from the new and old world. Some of the rare vintages for sale to guests include a Chateau Latour 1985 and several vintages of Chateau Margaux Grand Vin 1er Cru including a singular bottle from 1934.
Up to 11 guests are housed comfortably in five beautiful and intricately designed bedrooms all with luxury en-suite facilities. The chalet has two stunning living areas, with the main living area focussed around a grand stone fireplace that dates back to the 18th century. Extensive balconies and terraces surround the chalet, and the chalet’s elevated position allows you to enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic mountains in the distance with a glass of champagne in hand.
Upon returning from the slopes each day, treat yourself to a break in one of Verbier’s largest private spas. Exclusive to Chalet Makini, the spa is home to a beautiful indoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam, indoor hot tub, well-equipped gym, and extensive relaxation area. Treat yourself to an expert private massage, your favourite drink at the pool, or allow your private chef to prepare healthy after ski treats which you can snack on poolside. The spa is located a short walk from the main chalet allowing you to truly relax and unwind in a unique setting.
Click into your skis in the morning and feel the rush of skiing down a meandering trail that traverses the Hameau village and leads you directly to the Le Rouge teleski from where the main ski area can be accessed. At the end of the day, you can ski straight into the chalet from the Les Esserts beginner's area or from Savoleyres, snow permitting.
Chalet Makini is fully wired for sound and vision with an entertainment system throughout and most bedrooms have cable TV.
Security is of the highest level at Chalet Makini with a dedicated concierge and 24-hour security system in place. Your cars will be will parked in the chalet's internal garage, providing parking for four vehicles with a further three external parking places. Additional parking spaces can also be arranged upon request. A private in resort chauffeur will be at your disposal throughout your stay from 8am to 1am and this is included in the service.
