Our apartment was good, we had a six man between four of us which worked well – but bear in mind if you came with 6 blokes you’d end up sharing doubles! All the rooms and facilities were fine. The location was easy as you’re basically on the piste. There were one or two restaurants close enough in 1800, but ... + more

Nothing negative to say about the chalets. Location was great going up – 10 yards from the lift and you could ski straight out the door. Getting back was a bit steep for the family but overall we had no problems at all. + more

This package holiday to Les Chalets Edelweiss in La Plagne, France departs Saturday 1st March 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

In the French Alps' Savoie region, La Plagne was established in the early sixties and now consists of 11 villages: 7 purpose built villages and 4 traditional villages. The aptly named Plagne Centre at the heart of the resort is the main hub of shops, restaurants and après ski. Just underneath lies Plagne 1800, a cluster of chalets spread across a steep hillside. Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a l...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts and a wide choice of different ski schools for those new to skiing. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners. The blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin provides a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate skiers, La Plagne is paradise. 77% of the runs are graded either blue or red. Particular favourites are the run from La Grand Roch...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. Try snowmobiling at night, ice climbing in Champagny, husky sledding, paragliding, extreme tobogganing and more! One experience not to be missed is the bobsleigh track, used for Olympic training. There are various ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr up to a lightening 120...

The space in it was lovely, it was fairly modern and had a good size fridge/freezer. The apartment was really good. We arrived late (past 8pm) and the rep was great to help us get things sorted. The only gripe we had for our apartment was that when we arrived it was quite dusty in places and they asked us to do an inventory too, which felt a bit weird. The apartment we were in had been freshly painted but we still found a little bit of mold which is not good. I understand that its difficult because the units have to be kept warm/heated and it’s hard with ventilation too, but that was a bit annoying. We catered for ourselves and it was all fine. We drove and brought food with us, we have some allergies and the French don’t deal so well with this at all I find. The apartment was REALLY well located, right next to the slopes! We got a ground floor apartment which was perfect for the little ones getting to the slopes, literally it was about 20 steps before you were on some snow! To be able to go straight out, it was great, right next to the slopes and right next to the ski school. All of this worked really well! We loved La Plagne and would go back. A note for the parking below the apartments if driving, the ramp going down is not suitable for cars with low clearances. But also for electric cars there are awesome chargers there on site (rapid chargers) which are fantastic.

"Nice ski apartments"

Four of us stayed here in Feb 2016 and really liked the apartments. Everything was well stocked and felt new and clean. There was a slight misunderstanding in the booking process where we thought we’d be getting four single beds and ended up with two singles and a sofa bed. However the accommodation sorted us out with a camp bed which I slept on which was fine. The facilities were good. The location is great, with the ski storage downstairs and the fact that you can ski to the entrance of the accommodation block. The lift queue in the mornings was very busy though, and having to wait 15-20 minutes to get up every morning might put us off staying here again.

The location was easy as you’re basically on the piste. There were one or two restaurants close enough in 1800, but we mostly ate out in the centre. My main piece of advice would be to remember your adaptor which I always forget!
