Overview: hotel description: Le Pelvoux, Plagne Centre description

With a slopeside spot right in the heart of Plagne centre, these modern apartments are always a popular pick. Getting out in the mornings couldn’t be easier, just grab your gear from the locker and click into your skis, then in the evenings, cruise right back to the front door.

Inside, things are fresh and modern. Light-coloured furniture and white walls give the rooms a bright, airy feel, while art prints of mountain views add a dash of ski-inspired style. They’re well-equipped, too. The kitchenette has everything you need to self-cater for a week – and with a supermarket opposite, whipping up a quick supper is easy peasy. If you do fancy a night off from cooking though, there are heaps of restaurants just moments away.

You can’t beat a bit of post-piste relaxation, so it’s definitely worth paying a little extra to use the spa area in the complex. Sit back and soothe those ski legs in the steam room or enjoy the aromas of pine oil in the sauna – bliss.

Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a l...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts and a wide choice of different ski schools for those new to skiing. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners. The blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin provides a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate skiers, La Plagne is paradise. 77% of the runs are graded either blue or red. Particular favourites are the run from La Grand Roch...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. There are various ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr up to a lightening 120...
