Overview: hotel description: Hotel Teresa description

Hotel Teresa is a beautiful Alpine hotel with close ties to nature. The owner David is passionate about the area and you can even join him on guided excursions and wildlife watching in the UNESCO park.

Location

It's close to the centre of Kronplatz too so you'll be near to the shops, bars and ski lifts. The Trans Bronta gondola is only 250 metres away and the resort ski bus stops just 40 metres from the hotel.

Guided snowshoe excursion

Every week the hotel runs a free guided snowshoe excursion for guests with snowshoes included.

Wildlife watching

The owners of Hotel Teresa are huge lovers of wildlife and run a weekly free wildlife watching excursion in the UNESCO world heritage park.

Relaxed hotel

The hotel is great choice if you are looking for a relaxed place to enjoy your ski holiday in the Dolomites. We love finding a quiet corner in the library and the impressive spa has an indoor pool and whirlpool.

Local food

Meals are a real highlight here and the hearty Ladin dishes really hit the spot after a day out on the mountains. Tyrolean food is mixed with Mediterranean flavours and the results are delicious. You can expect homemade pasta, breads and lots of local specialties that you can pair with a good label of wine.

The hotel are also committed to sustainability and have collaborated with local farms and organisations to make sure that the produce they use adheres to a “zero kilometre” policy wherever possible.

Why is this a Choice property?

Extra mile - The hotel owners put on some excellent excursions including snowshoeing and wildlife watching.

Sustainability - We love the Hotel Teresa's dedication to sustainability with the “zero kilometre” policy and their pledge to protect the incredible Dolomite mountains.

Local offerings - The Hotel Teresa showcases some of the best of Ladin's produce and dishes from around the region.

Voted ‘Italy’s best Ski Resort’ by Mountain Management in 2012, Kronplatz is nestled in South-Tyrol amid the natural parks of a legendary UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Italian Dolomites. It’s the largest of 3 resorts in the Pustertal valley, having around 3 times the ski area of neighbouring Speikboden and Klausberg. You’d be forgiven for being a little puzzled by these Austrian names – and understandably so, considering Kronplatz et al sit pretty comfortably within the Italian border. To clear this u...
The skiing is mostly concentrated on the Kronplatz mountain, great for nailing maximum piste-time without the hassle of travelling over to different regions. The beginners’ skiing is fantastic, with plenty of gentle and spacious pistes. An awesome set of blue runs include Plateau and Sonne at the summit and Miara, a lovely long training slope extending down to the main gondola at San Vigilio. The children’s Safety Park beside the Olang run has a medley of natural and manmade obstacles as well as room to pra...
There’s a fine choice of mountain venues that come alive in the afternoons. The rustic CoroneS Hutte at Concordia 2000 switches from serving lunches in its restaurant to schnapps and bombardinos in its umbrella bar, meanwhile Kron-Treff next door gets the drinks flowing to some pumping music. Further down in the valley, Bus Stop at San Vigilio is one of the resort’s most popular go-to’s, the DJ’s and live bands tend to draw in quite a bustling crowd, whilst karaoke nights and themed parties can get pretty ...

The hotel’s facilities (like the amazing spa) were fantastic. It’s a family run hotel and the people there were really friendly. Everything’s clean and really luxurious and there’s a nice family feel to the place. We will definitely be back. It was nice being in the village – a little walk to the slopes but we could leave our skis in a locker which worked well. The food was great – traditional Italian – and they were very accommodating of the kid’s needs.
