The small and friendly Tauernglöckl is an excellent choice for serious skiers looking for a comfortable place to rest their head. It’s got a fantastic location in the resort centre, just steps from the slopes and Gamsleiten lift. All of Obertauern’s shops, bars and restaurants are also right on your doorstep.
The rooms are simply decorated with solid wooden furniture and, most importantly, they’re clean and warm. An extra special perk is the small wellness area, which has a sauna, steam room and whirlpool – bliss after a long day on the mountain.
On the half board basis, you'll start the day with a varied breakfast buffet and enjoy evening meals in the hotel restaurant and pizzeria six nights a week – this way you get to sample one of the local restaurants in Obertauern on a Monday night.

Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
•Excellent lift system •Clever natural ski circuit •Attractive purpose built resort
Obertauern stands apart from other Austrian resorts in more ways than one; it’s the nation’s only purpose-built resort offering ski in/ski out convenience whilst impressively maintaining Austrian charm. It has unusually high altitudes for Austria, with pistes peaking at 2313m, and the ski area is built in a one-of-a-kind circuit where you always return to your starting point, whichever direction you ski.
