The Hotel St Michael is one of our guests' favourite hotels. The traditional Alpine property is run by a friendly team. The location's fantastic - its less than two minutes from the Cassana lift giving easy access to the ski area. If you want to go further afield, the nearest bus stop is just 20 metres from the hotel. The free resort bus goes all around the resort so getting into town couldn't be easier.
After a day of exploring the varied ski area, the wellness area with its stone floors and wooden interiors if the ideal place to relax. It's got a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, and a ice waterfall - ideal for energising after a sauna session, there is also a jacuzzi and a salt room so you can relax in peace. Massages are available for a local fee.
Food plays an important part in any ski holiday and staying here is no exception. The food is typical Valtellinese with a Mediterranean twist, dishes have been lovingly prepared with products from the region, and according to recopies handed down from generation to generation. There's also a huge wine list, with at least 180 wines to choose from - be sure to ask the sommeliers for their recommendation of wines which pair with your meal.
