The whole stay was perfectly fine, however the rooms were slightly small. Typical half-board Italian food that was just what we were after. The food was nice. Not to from the slopes. A gentle 5 minutes walk to the slopes. + more

Overview: hotel description: Hotel Serenella description

Hotel Serenella is a small and friendly hotel in a great spot in the centre of Cervinia. You can expect traditional Italian hospitality and comforting food here.

Location

You will be based close to the slopes with the Cretaz chairlift and the ski school meeting point less than 100 metres away.

It's a couple of minutes walk there, but on your return you can ski back 50 metres or so from the boot room.

You'll also find Cervinia's restaurants, shops, pubs and clubs right your doorstep.

Traditional Italian Style

The cosy lounge bar is decorated with wooden panelling in a typical alpine style. It's a nice place to relax on the comfy sofas and enjoy a tipple after a day on the mountain.

On sunny days we love sitting out on the sun loungers on the small terrace. The rooms are decorated in the same alpine style, but have a fresh, modern feel.

Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 45 mins by coach from Turin airport.

Nestled in the heart of the rocky, North-West Alps, you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported to an Italian version of Narnia as you reach the end of the snow-topped pines and arrive at the foot of the holiday village. Airport transfers direct to your door from either of Italy’s Turin or Milan airports and Geneva means you won’t find yourself lugging your skis and boots in tow as you seek out your accommodation. With first-track skiing for early risers who can beat everyone else to the slopes, Cervinia is a snowball of varied surprises. 18 beginner runs make this ideal for novice skiers wanting to embark on their romance with snow sports. Take the chair lift up to Plan Torrette to get a feel for the gentler blue runs. This is a great place for children to learn as ski schools take young skiers up magic carpets and around a whole new world of slopes. A bucket load of intermediate runs means that already accomplished...
Après ski, Après ski, Après ski! A popular spot to start the evening is at the Grivola’s Irish bar which has a happy hour after the lifts close. To extend your night, move the party on to the village’s happening Bianconiglio club, which offers a range of music including live performances to suit all clientele. Few do food better than the Italians - Pizzas loved by locals and tourists alike can be found at the Sotto Zero, perfect for all the family with classic Margherita for the little ‘uns and Alpine t...

The staff were kind of there in the seating area watching TV near the little bar, which didn’t have much, so you didn’t feel like you wanted to sit there. The staff were lovely people though. There could have been a little more of a variance I would have said, but apart from that I can’t fault the food. It was lovely basic food, it was homemade and there was a choice of two different options for dinner. The didn’t top up any of the breakfast or dinner stuff. So you had a little buffet out and if you weren’t there at the beginning then you couldn’t get any salad, or there wouldn’t be any cheese and ham in the morning, or an egg for example. They put the tiniest amount out and you felt like you had to ask. If you were later down to the meals, then you would miss out on what everybody else had. The breakfasts were the same every morning so if you missed out on something, you knew that they had it, so you could ask for more. The location, where it was – amazing!! It’s not even a 15-meter walk and you’re literally on the slopes. We had so much snow, it snowed everyday – we must have had over a meter during the week at least, so one of the days we literally did ski right to the front door. 4.9/5
