One of the first hotels to open in Borovets, the Samokov’s a simple pick in a top-notch location – right the centre of the resort and just steps from the main Yastrebets gondola. And it’s got plenty of places to hang out when you’re not on the slopes.

You can swing by the lobby bar for a drink, play a game in the bowling alley or swim a few lengths in the big indoor pool. And you can pay a bit extra to use the spa too, if you fancy some time in the hot tub, sauna and steam room.

Food-wise, breakfast is a buffet spread where you can pile your plate with hot options like bacon and eggs or staples like cereals, pastries and toast. Fill your boots at the evening buffet with local and international dishes by upgrading to half board.
