· 20 minutes’ walk to the centre of Pila · 1 minute's walk to the Leissé chairlift · 3 minutes’ walk to the ski school meeting point · 1 minute's walk to the nursery slope
Setting off from Hotel Printemps, you’ll be clicking in and swooshing away in no time. Within a couple of minutes, you can be stepping onto the long, cruisy Grimod blue slope or you can quickly hop on the Leissé chairlift. After a short ride up, it’ll have you in a great position for exploring the mountain. Come evening, the Grimod can also serve as your ticket back, as you can ski almost right back to the hotel.
Traditional in style, there’s a real vintage alpine feel to Printemps. The wooden panelling and patterned sheets will bring a burst of nostalgia for some skiers – it really is a taste of the classic Italian ski hoilday. That same flavour is what you’ll find in the hotel’s restaurant, where things have been kept on the traditional side too. Be sure to take a gander out of the window while you’re here and see if you can spot Mont Blanc.
It’s true, there’s not a long list of facilities when it comes to your non-ski hours, but there's a warm and friendly atmosphere when you arrive back from the slopes. Après drinks at the bar are definitely on the cards and there’s plenty of room in the lounge to get the gang together for swapping stories about the day’s ski highlights.
