Hotel Pralong is a real gem. It's located opposite the slopes at the top of the Selva with spectacular views over the mountains and forests. What sets it apart from others is its owners, the Denicolo family. Not only do they provide a high standard of service and create a warm and friendly atmosphere, they have a real passion for the mountains and skiing. Two members of the family have even competed in the Ski World Championships.

The family have put a lot of effort into the attention to detail, design and decorations of the hotel. Nature plays a part in all of this, which can be seen throughout the property with candles surrounded by fur cones in the bar area, beautiful embroidered cushions in the dining room and flowers in reception.

The centre of town is roughly 500 metres away but you can catch the local bus - the nearest bus stop is just a short walk from the hotel. At the end of each day you can relax in the small wellness area and enjoy the Finnish sauna and Turkish bath.

Transfer time: approx. 3 hours by coach from Innsbruck airport.

This package holiday to Hotel Pralong in Selva, Italy departs Saturday 8th March 2025, for a 14 night stay on a "half board" board basis. Selva is the best known and highest of Val Gardena’s close-set group of villages, which also include Ortisei and Santa Cristina. Val Gardena is part of the expansive Dolomiti Superski area and topping the list of reasons to visit the Dolomites, or ‘Pale Mountains’, is its status as a UNESCO world heritage site - Selva has some striking views of the Sassolungo massif and Puez mountains on either side. The nursery slopes are close to town and there’s a nice collection of blues towards one side of Piz Seteur and at Plan de Gralba (it’s worth mastering the bus timetable when going onto Plan de Gralba as taking the mountain route can land a beginner on some rather tricky reds). Italian resorts don’t tend to be overly wild when it comes to après ski but with 20 bars, 45 restaurants and 2 main clubs Selva does rather well... If you’ve never had the iconic Bombardino beverage, this is a good place to sample one! Bar Saltos is a good foodie spot with a sometimes themed menu and music scene for later on. La Stua, near the Costabella ski lift, is great for après ski with a sunny terrace and live music. By the Dantercepies, Panorama does some hearty dishes, perfect before the final run...
