Quiet location

Hotel Pontechiesa's peaceful surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and restorative stay, allowing guests to fully disconnect and recharge amidst the beauty of the Dolomites. You're not too far from the centre of resort, so easy access when it comes to getting to the lifts, having a drink, doing a spot of shopping or eating out.

At the end of a ski day, there's nothing better than taking some time to treat yourself to the wellness area where you can sit back, close your eyes and give your body a well deserved break from tearing up the slopes. By paying locally, you can access the facilities which include a sauna, steam room, sensory shower and a relaxation area, perfect if you want to read a few chapters of your book.

There are 3 ski areas directly accessible from Cortina d'Ampezzo itself: Cristallo, Tofana and Faloria. Faloria and Cristallo are on the eastern side of town, while Tofana is on the opposite side. You need to take the bus to get between them. There's plenty to challenge even expert skiers in this area alone, but if you start with the local pass, you can always upgrade to the Superski pass if you decide you want to head further afield. Everything starts up on the mountain where you’ll find some lovely huts for lunch. Rifugio does exceptionally good bombardinos, a local speciality drink. It’s usually made up of a mix of Advocaat and brandy. Have it served hot with whipped cream if you fancy being indulgent.
