Set in a quiet location, opposite the Sunnegga Lift the staff at this hotel has a genuine interest in your wellbeing and enjoyment during your stay. The bar area contains a warm wood-burning fireplace, which is a nice place to unwind before dinner and has ample space to play board games. The recently renovated spa area and wellness centre is a wonderful oasis of calm and tranquillity ideally placed for a rest after a day on the slopes.
Located opposite the Sunnegga lift, the Hotel National has an enviable location in Zermatt. Keen skiers and snowboarders can start their day with ease, as the lift is less than 50 metres from the hotel, taking you up onto the fantastic slopes of Zermatt - and when you return for the day, there is a heated boot room where you can store your equipment. If you want to venture out, the resort centre is a short walk away where you can find a range of bars, cafes and restaurants, and souvenir shops selling trinkets so you can remember your Swiss trip.
Warm up in front of the fire with a complimentary sweet treat and cup of coffee or enjoy a hand-crafted cocktail with friends and family after dinner. There is also a unsupervised kids corner with toys and a television. When the weather is nicer the terrace is open, and it is a great spot to marvel at the mountain and make the most of the winter sunshine.
After a day of skiing, snowboarding or hiking, the spa and wellness centre is the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Take a dip in the pool, and then head to the adults only spa area to unwind the jacuzzi or relax in the sauna or fragrant steam bath. There is also a range of treatments and massages available to book for a moment of pure relaxation. If you still have energy to burn, there is also a fitness room with a range of machines and weights.

Room facilities
The Hotel National has three steps at hotel entrance, and an access ramp is available. The lift goes to top floor for access of all contracted rooms - the hotel does have duplex rooms however these are not rooms we offer. Adapted rooms are not available.
The Hotel National is on a half board basis. A fruit basket is provided on arrival.
Fuel up for the day at the breakfast buffet, where you have a continental offering including bread, pastries, meats and cheese, as well as additional hot options including eggs prepared to order. Served daily between 7-10.30am.
When you have returned from a day of exploring Zermatt, enjoy complimentary afternoon tea with tea and cake.
Each evening you will be treated to a four course evening meal inspired by Swiss cuisine served in the Restaurant National. The menu is prepared using local and seasonal produce, and includes Valais specialities, traditional Swiss meals and menus - you will have a choice of main dish including cheese fondue. The adjoining Stübli a la carte restaurant is also open to hotel guests, serving a range of Swiss specialities.
