Overview: hotel description: Hotel Mon Reve description

The Mon Reve was only built in 2009, but you wouldn’t know by looking at it. Locally sourced timber and stone give the building a traditional, alpine look. Step inside, and it has that cosy feel you’d expect in a mountain hut – picture plenty of natural wood and an open fire burning in the lounge.

When it comes to hitting the slopes, it’s easy peasy here. Grab your skis from the boot room, then click in outside the hotel and slide down to the chairlift. Or, if you’re still building your confidence, then you can hop on the hotel shuttle to get to the nursery slopes instead.

You’re staying bed and breakfast, and each morning there’s a continental buffet spread filled with fruit, cereal, pastries and plenty of freshly ground coffee. Then in the evenings, swing by the hotel’s bar for an après tipple by the fire before heading down into Cervinia to sample one of the excellent restaurants.

Take the chair lift up to Plan Torrette to get a feel for the gentler blue runs. This is a great place for children to learn as ski schools take young skiers up magic carpets and around a whole new world of slopes. A bucket load of intermediate runs means that already accomplished...
