· in the resort centre · 2 minutes' walk to the Solana chairlift and the Pas de la Casa chairlift · 4 minutes' walk to the ski school meeting point at the Els Pioners gondola · 6 minutes' walk to the ski bus stop
Right in the resort centre, the number one draw of the Mirtil Is how quickly you’ll be bagging your first runs of the day. You’ll see the slopes as soon as you step out the door – head to the Solana chairlift for cruisy blue runs or set off for the peaks on the Pas de la Casa chairlift.
When you’re back, pop your skis in your locker and stop by the bar for a refresher. It’s a small space which makes for a tight-knit, friendly atmosphere, so you can strike up a convo or kick back and watch the sports on TV. As for the rooms, they come in a few styles. The twin rooms are fuss-free and have those classic burnt-orange floor tiles, or you can go for a superior twin, triple or quad room for that modern-alpine look.
Half board comes as standard here, so food-wise the start and end of your days are sorted. It’s buffet-style breakfast each morning with hot foods like omelettes alongside Continental staples, plus freshly squeezed orange juice to wash it all down. If you're feeling peckish once you're back from the slopes, grab a cuppa and a slice of cake at the complimentary afternoon tea. Then, you'll dig into three courses in the evening, with speciality dishes from both sides of the border on the menu.
