You’ll love the friendly staff and family-run atmosphere of the Hotel Meta. It’s a comfy base for exploring the Grandvalira ski area, and the location is spot on too – step outside and it’s a short walk to the nearest lifts and the centre of the resort.

There isn’t a long list of facilities here, but you’re right in the heart of the action. So after a day on the slopes, you can nip back and swap your ski boots for something more comfortable, before heading out to enjoy some après. And when it’s time for bed, you won’t be too far from the hotel.

When it comes to food, breakfast is included – head down to the hotel’s dining room for a continental breakfast with a range of hot options too. In the evenings Pas de la Casa is full of excellent restaurants to tempt you, or you can upgrade to half board and eat dinner at the nearby Hotel Cubil.

Not only is Pas de la Casa the highest ski resort in the Pyrenees (it sits at a lofty 2100m), but it’s also the sunniest. The après ski scene is arguably one of the best in Europe, and the resort is also home to some of the best shopping in the country… so far, so good!
