Really good holiday, the hotel was nice, and staff were very friendly. The only slight issue was the rooms were very warm as could not adjust the radiators – but this was fixed very quickly. Surprising good, my daughter and 1 are very fussy but they catered well to our needs. Handy location, bus into town was... + more

The Lion has a brand-new look for this winter. The bar, restaurant and reception have all had a bright, modern makeover, and there are some great new facilities too. Front and centre is the updated spa area, where you can swim, soak and steam after a day on the slopes. There’s even an outdoor hot tub now, so you can enjoy the warm water with wintery views all around. There’s one thing that hasn’t changed though – that’s the hotel’s peaceful wooded setting.

The free hotel shuttle will take whisk you to the lifts in around 5 minutes each morning, and then it'll pick you up again when you’re done. Once back at the hotel, you've got a relaxed lounge-cum-bar area with comfy armchairs that's perfect for settling in for an après session. And for little ones, there’s a play area and games room too.

Mealtimes here are just the thing for hungry skiers, with varied buffet-style breakfasts and evening meals that’ll have everyone going back for seconds. You’ll even get free beer, wine and soft drinks in the evening.

Really good holiday, the hotel was nice, and staff were very friendly. The only slight issue was the rooms were very warm as could not adjust the radiators – but this was fixed very quickly. Surprising good, my daughter and 1 are very fussy but they catered well to our needs. Handy location, bus into town was easy. Mornings were pretty busy, so we sometimes took a taxi. Ski hire shop had a massive queue, would recommend sourcing on the day and picking a ski hire shop that is not as busy.
