Considered second only to St. Anton the après here is marvelled as some of Austria’s biggest and best. Ischgl is Famous for its ‘top of the mountain concerts’ held at Easter and each end of the season which in the past have seen headliners such as Katy Perry and Elton John. Après ski starts post-lunch on the slopes, where the main mountain bars at Idalp fill with buzzing skiers and boarders on the first (and certainly not last) Jägertee of the day. Our holiday here was half board and the food was pretty good with a nice variety of dishes although the service in the restaurant was a bit spasmodic. Our room was the smallest of the 3 we booked which was a bit disappointing. It turned out not all the rooms had a bath which we would have liked, so if you want a bath make a request for a room that does have one. The hotel has an excellent location, right on top of the Fimba lift.
