Overview: hotel description: Hotel Jägerwirt description

There are many reasons why the Hotel Jägerwirt is so popular - but one that really stands out is the service. From the moment you arrive, the friendly team will be waiting to welcome you with a smile. The hotel is beautifully traditional with Tyrolean hunting lodge-style decor running throughout. Kids and adults alike can go for a splash or get in a few early evening laps in the indoor pool, and there's a separate wellness suite with Finnish sauna and steam room to help revitalise the body.

The local ski bus stops right outside the Jägerwirt, although it’s only about a 10-minute walk to the Hahnenkamm gondola, which will whisk you up into the Kitzbühel ski area. It’s also about 5 minutes to the resort centre, where you’ll find a great selection of boutique shops and popular bars for a spot of designer shopping, après ski or dancing until the early hours.

If you don’t want to venture too far in the evening, the hotel boasts an in-house sports bars – showing all the top football matches on Sky Sports and serving the most delicious burgers. Alternatively, the more sedate hotel bar has a comfy lounge area where you can relax and chat about your day’s adventures.

The food in the Jägerwirt is a delicious mix of Tyrolean specialities and dishes from further afield - and there's a great wine menu to complement your meals. Breakfasts are a hearty affair too - with a wide selection of cereals, fruit, breads, cold meats and cheeses, along with hot bacon and eggs to warm you up before a day out on the mountain.

Kitzbuhel will leave both intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders very happy and doesn't disappoint beginners either. You can even night ski on the Gaisberg (piste 41). Holidays here are good value for beginners thanks to the free lifts on 7 of the practice runs. You'll find some convenient nursery slopes near the Hahnenkammbahn lift, a beginner zone in Jochberg and a sunny nursery area high up on the Horn. For first-timers, the Horn has some cruisey blue runs and lots of undemanding pistes, including t...
Austrian après ski is arguably the best there is and Kitzbühel certainly doesn't let the nation down. The nightlife is vibrant and varied, offering plenty of choices whether you prefer to sip schnapps with the socialites, table-dance with merry locals or have a quiet winter-warmer with friends. The Pavillon is a popular and lively apres bar while you'll find an Irish pub scene in O'Flannigans and great cocktails in Herbarium Bar. For after-hours partying, Club Take Five is a great nightclub, or enjoy pub vi...

"Transfer good, stay good, rooms good, food good!"

We absolutely loved our holiday! It was brilliant! We had a great time and the staff were brilliant, the only negative I can think of is that the pool was cold which wasn’t ideal – but some pools just are. Food - The selection of food was really impressive, there was no need for us to eat out in the evenings. We had a half board booking, with a 5 course dinner every night including soup, sorbet, salad, a main and pudding, we weren’t disappointed once and there was always plenty of choice. Breakfasts were help yourself, but again lots to choose between. Rooms – we had a triple and a twin, both had plenty of room with plenty of storage, they did the beds every day and the bathrooms were clean. Location – we hired a family locker up at the slopes so we weren’t trekking backwards and forwards with equipment and could just walk up which was excellent.
