This package holiday to Hotel Ibiza in Les Deux Alpes, France departs Saturday 1st February 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "half board" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

Glacier Skiing Top après Lots of activities

Spectacular views of Mont Blanc aren’t the only bonus of the glacier - this ‘upside down’ ski resort is one of the most snow-sure in the Alps, so much so that you can ski here in the summertime. Much loved for its après ski, the town's main strip is bursting with some of the best bars in the mountains.

Grenoble is the closest airport with a transfer time of just under 2 hours, making the resort accessible by road. The resort was first used for skiing as early as 1925 when the first ski tow was built. The “Les Deux Alpes”, as we know it today, was established in 1946. It is commonly assumed that the name is derived from the two mountains on either side of the town when in reality the name stems from the two villages on either side of the settlement: Mont De Lans and Venosc. The resort is compact, and you’...
There are plenty of beginner slopes on the front face with runs like les Vikings and Les Gentianes for those learning to ski. The great thing about Les Deux Alpes is that there are some terrific beginner slopes higher up the mountain so new skiers can experience the benefits of skiing at altitude. The Cretes area at 2100m is the favourite spot for ski schools, with the ski escalator a welcome aid to those learning to ski. The run home at the end of the day used to have a fearsome reputation for being overcrowded...
You don’t have to look far to find good après in Les Deux Alpes. One of the best bars in resort is Pano bar, this slopeside restaurant, based at 2,600m comes alive at happy hour between 3 pm and 5 pm every day with discounted drinks and a DJ set that will vibrate through your whole body. At the bottom of the piste, Umbrella bar is a great place to keep the party going. If you want to take the night further then Smithy’s is the place to go, with great modern music as well as live entertainment on several night...

"Quite enjoyed it! "

Very friendly and warm, conformable. It was clean, really good cleaning team, casual team at reception but helpful team – the staff are very accommodating, and you can leave your luggage in a room because we arrived there early. Very friendly, warming & conformable. The food was good, very kind staff. Vegetarian food was very good, but just to expand on variety. 2 busses to get to the slopes. They run on a circuit; however, signage could be better at the bus stops. But that being said, the reps are fantastic and so helpful so easy to get the help you need to the slopes. Well organised & transfer was great. Sauna can get quite crowded, go early or later in the evening. Don’t groom the bottom of slope so have to be confident on ski (around 200m before end of run) Recommend the train set at the bottom of the hotel!

"Overall a nice ski hotel"

A good hotel, nice and clean with pleasant staff. The food was lovely, though it got a little repetitive towards the end of the week… I know it’s buffet style, but the special hot option each day was raclette on four of the days, then burgers with raclette cheese on the other day. We had pea soup 3 times, a really nice soup but again just repetitive. Breakfasts were good, with a good selection of food. The pool was good, a little chilly but I guess you’re in the Alps. The hot tub was nice too. We didn’t use the sun deck or the gym, but the gym looked fairly well equipped. There’s also a games room which was always occupied by the children so that was obviously good too. It’s located a little out of town, but we weren’t bothered by walking, especially as we’re boarders so it wasn’t a killer to walk. Our rep didn’t tell us that there was a hotel shuttle service which would have been useful to know – we found out on the fourth day when the bus driver recognised us from the hotel and offered a lift!
