Overview: hotel description: Hotel Ibiza description

The Ibiza puts a contemporary twist on the traditional alpine stay, with its bright décor and quirky, music-inspired artwork. There are some top-notch facilities dotted throughout too, and then there’s the location – set above the main part of the resort, you’ve got panoramic views of the Ecrins National Park from all over the hotel.

It’s just a short stroll to the lifts, or hop on the free hotel shuttle to get there even quicker. Then once you’re done for the day, you can swing by the bar and dance along to live DJ sets. Or for a more leisurely kind of après, slip on a robe and pad down to the spa for a swim and spell in the sauna. Here with the kids? The games room is bound to be a crowd-pleaser too.

Mealtimes are taken care of in the hotel dining room, where there’s a big hot and cold buffet spread to set you up for the day. Then in the afternoons, you've got coffee and cakes to keep you going ‘til dinner time. Speaking of, it’s served buffet-style, so everyone’s free to choose their favourites, from regional dishes to international classics. And to get your drinks included too, you can upgrade to all-inclusive when you get here.

Glacier Skiing Top après Lots of activities

Spectacular views of Mont Blanc aren’t the only bonus of the glacier - this ‘upside down’ ski resort is one of the most snow-sure in the Alps, so much so that you can ski here in the summertime. Much loved for its après ski, the town's main strip is bursting with some of the best bars in the mountains.

Grenoble is the closest airport with a transfer time of just under 2 hours, making the resort accessible by road. The resort was first used for skiing as early as 1925 when the first ski tow was built. The “Les Deux Alpes”, as we know it today, was established in 1946. It is commonly assumed that the name is derived from the two mountains on either side of the town when in reality the name stems from the two villages on either side of the settlement: Mont De Lans and Venosc. The resort is compact, and you’...
There are plenty of beginner slopes on the front face with runs like les Vikings and Les Gentianes for those learning to ski. The great thing about Les Deux Alpes is that there are some terrific beginner slopes higher up the mountain so new skiers can experience the benefits of skiing at altitude. The Cretes area at 2100m is the favourite spot for ski schools, with the ski escalator a welcome aid to those learning to ski. The run home at the end of the day used to have a fearsome reputation for being overcrowded...
You don’t have to look far to find good après in Les Deux Alpes. One of the best bars in resort is Pano bar, this slopeside restaurant, based at 2,600m comes alive at happy hour between 3 pm and 5 pm every day with discounted drinks and a DJ set that will vibrate through your whole body. At the bottom of the piste, Umbrella bar is a great place to keep the party going. If you want to take the night further then Smithy’s is the place to go, with great modern music as well as live entertainment on several night...

Very friendly, warming & conformable. The food was good, very kind staff. Vegetarian food was very good, but just to expand on variety. 2 busses to get to the slopes. They run on a circuit; however, signage could be better at the bus stops. But that being said, the reps are fantastic and so helpful so easy to get the help you need to the slopes. Well organised & transfer was great. Sauna can get quite crowded, go early or later in the evening. Don’t groom the bottom of slope so have to be confident on ski (around 200m before end of run) Recommend the train set at the bottom of the hotel!
