"Good Holiday, food was local. "

Peter

The hotel was good for us. I would say it was an 8/10 holiday for my first time skiing. The food was OK, it was very local food. The weather was a bit too good and sunny when we were there, so it was a bit further to walk to get to the slopes. Towards the end of the holiday it snowed and it was easier to get to the beginner slopes.

The best things about staying here were probably the free pool, the free sauna and steam rooms and the free Jacuzzi, all very nice! Overall it was fine for somewhere to stay, it was basic but I wasn’t expecting anything amazing from the price (which was another of the best bits about the holiday). The food was fine, basic but enough to fill you up. If I hadn’t had a half board booking it would have been difficult to find places to eat in the resort as there isn’t much in terms of actual restaurants or fast food places. The location was perfect – I just had to walk across the road and catch the button lift up the slopes.

"Good for anyone - choose hotel not annexe"

Our room was a nice size with a separate bathroom, there were 2 bars there too but we didn’t really use them. Food was very filling, always a 3 course meal with cream of something soup at the beginning. The hotel itself is very basic but perfect for what we wanted it for. Make sure you end up in the main Harfenwirt hotel and not the annexe when you book as we ended up in the guesthouses - we managed to change to the hotel once we got there but it’s easier to be sure in advance. The hotel would be very good for families – or anyone really – as it’s right across the street from the slopes. I’d say it’s about 200 yards from the button pull and from there you can ski to the gondola.
