A very nice hotel. Clean and airy. The service and the food were excellent. We’re both veggies and there were plenty of veggie options. The buffet starters were very nice and the menu was inventive. A very authentic Walser town, Gressoney is ideal if you want a relaxed ski trip. If you like a good cocktail, ask for the ‘negrone’ at The Petit in La-Trinite, or head to Castore Lounge. A very nice hotel. Clean and airy. The service and the food were excellent. We’re both veggies and there were plenty of veggie options. The buffet starters were very nice and the menu was inventive. The staff were attentive and friendly. I couldn’t fault it; we would love to go back. It probably helped that the hotel was nearly empty when we went there, which I thought was a shame for the hotel (but not for us!). I would recommend taking a travel kettle with you if you like drinking tea/coffee as the hotel bar can add up, although the alcoholic drinks weren’t overpriced for a hotel. The ski lockers were good. It’s a 20 minute bus ride from the slopes but this really isn’t an issue as the bus stops right by the hotel and then takes you directly to the lift. It was very easy to take the bus. Also if you are hiring skis, there isn’t a shop in the village of St. Jean itself – you have to go up or down the valley. It’s probably best to go up the valley - we chose a shop down the valley, and this was a pain when we wanted to return the equipment because we skied most of the time up the top.
