Set in a great position in the Nasserein area of St Anton, 5 minutes' walk from the cable car, the hotel Garni Falch is a great value base for making the most of St Anton.
Very pretty and charming throughout with natural traditional wood and in Tyrolean style, the original building dates back to the 12th century when it once served as a customs post!
The hotel is offered on a bed and breakfast basis and there are an array of restaurants and bars locally. St Anton itself is just a 15 minute walk or, conveniently, the ski bus stops just 30m from the hotel's door.
Bedrooms are spacious and characterful, many of them enjoying views over the village. Each has a bathroom/wc, hairdryer, TV, telephone and free Wi-Fi.

It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh).
