Frau Jastrinsky and her team ensure that their guests are made to feel at home. Rooms are spacious and have been lovingly furnished to make you feel comfortable after a busy day on the slopes. Inside, the décor’s bright and cheery, with wood furniture dotted around.

In the afternoons, swap the slopes for the spa and unwind in the wellness area. It has a fantastic indoor pool for those leisurely laps, or you can do as the locals do at the end the ski day and enjoy a soothing session in the sauna or steam room.

This is a great place to experience some typical Austrian après ski; whilst it is nowhere near as lively as the nearby resort of Zell am See, there’s still plenty going on. A great place to start is Heimalm: a lovely mountain hut where beautiful panoramic views and a fun atmosphere create a winning combination. Night owls can continue the party in the Shakesbeer pub until early in hours; they don’t have set closing times and can stay open until all the party-goers hang up their dancing shoes.
